halftone - Also called middle-tone. (in painting, drawing, graphics, photography, etc.) a value intermediate between light and dark. (also looks like little dots)
indistinct - not distinct; not clearly marked or defined
innovations - The act of introducing something new.
Narrative — the images combine with other news elements to make facts relatable to the viewer or reader on a cultural level.
Objectivity — the situation implied by the images is a fair and accurate representation of the events they depict in both content and tone.
predecessor - something succeeded or replaced by something else
Relevance - the images have meaning in the context of a published chronological record of events.
Timeliness — the images have meaning in the context of a recently published record of events.
Yellow Journalism - journalism that exploits, distorts, or exaggerates the news to create sensation and attract readers
